Mindful Microschools: Grassroots Learning in the Age of Billionaire Agendas
A free virtual gathering to explore how small, community-rooted schools can continue meaningful learning in an age of market-driven reform — coming Spring 2026.
For the past two years, I’ve been watching how the grassroots microschool movement is evolving — and reflecting on how it’s being reshaped by the growing influence of billionaire-backed agendas.
When I launched Mindful Microschools this July, it became the place to start putting those reflections into words. Since then, more and more people have been saying, “We need to get in a room and talk about this together.”
So, we will.
About the Gathering
This will be a space for educators, parents, and founders to have real, unfiltered conversations about:
Who’s funding the microschool movement — and why it matters
How billionaire philanthropy and Big Tech intersect in education reform
Strategies for keeping small schools mission-driven, independent, and community-centered
This is not a conference. It’s a live, interactive gathering where we’ll begin together and then break into smaller group conversations — because the grassroots microschool movement is too important to be steered by the interests of big money.
